A Fall Season Full of Success

This Fall, the LitiGators continued their streak of successes, winning team and individual awards at tournaments across the nation. Here are all of the awards the UF Mock Trial Team took home in the Fall 2021 season:

Team Arendelle won second place at UC Davis’s “Cowtown Classic Invitational” and fourth place at Florida State University’s “Capital City Invitational.” Evangelia Gavrilos, Samantha Silverio, and Brianna McKnight won Outstanding Attorney Awards, and Emily Canamella and Sarah Mellinger won Outstanding Witness Awards.

Team Gotham City won first place and the Spirit of Mock Trial Award at Georgia State University’s “Court in the Concrete Jungle Invitational.” Sahas Chintakayala won an Outstanding Attorney Award, Jennifer LaRue won an Outstanding Witness Award, and Jessica Lorenzo won an Honorable Mention as an Attorney.

Team Narnia earned an Honorable Mention from the University of Pennsylvania’s “Benjamin Franklin Invitational.” Brandon McKay and Nathan Heastie won Outstanding Attorney Awards.

Team Neverland won second place at Vanderbilt University’s “Grand Ole Tournament,” fifth place at Florida State University’s “Capital City Invitational,” and sixth place at the College of William and Mary’s “Colonial Classic Invitational.” Sophia Athan won an Outstanding Attorney Award, and Julia Kitt won an Outstanding Witness Award.

Team Pandora went to the University of Virginia’s Great American Mock Trial Invitational and earned an Honorable Mention!

Team Themyscira won first place at the University of South Carolina’s Soda City Trials and third place at UC Davis’s Cowtown Classic Invitational. Aastha Sinha and Olivia Davis won Outstanding Attorney Awards, and David Egloff won an Outstanding Witness Award.

After a highly successful Fall Season, we are soaring into the Spring competitive season with five teams: Team Aeroflot, Team Emirates, Team Lufthansa, Team Royal Dutch, and Team Qantas. With these teams busy preparing for January Invitationals and Regionals in February, the sky is the limit!
