In the Summer of 2022, the LitiGators hosted “Summer in the Swamp,” our virtual Mock Trial Camp for high school students.
With the help of faculty advisors and local attorney coaches, The LitiGators have maintained an extensive winning record—which most recently included a 7th Place National finish in 2022. As an organization, the LitiGators believe that the skills fostered through participation in competitive Mock Trial are invaluable. That is why, this summer, we are focused on providing a skill-building, educational experience for high school students. Over the course of this three-day intensive program, students worked with nationally-ranked competitors, UF Faculty, and local attorney coaches through a series of workshops where they learned every facet of mock trial. Students had the opportunity to work on a college level case—the 2018 National Championship case U.S. v. Parker Barrow—which they competed with on the final day of Summer in the Swamp. We are so proud of our Summer in the Swamp campers and all of their hard work !
